One person killed, another seriously injured in accident near Claire City

One person is dead and another seriously injured following a single-vehicle accident one mile east of Claire City Tuesday. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a 1992 GMC Sierra lost control while eastbound on 105^th street near 456^th avenue. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled. The driver suffered fatal injuries while the passenger suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The names of those involved have not yet been released and the accident remains under investigation. Claire City is located just south of the North Dakota border in Roberts county.
