South Dakota congressman and one time Republican gubernatorial candidate Dusty Johnson has announced he will not endorse a candidate in the GOP Primary runoff debate. In an interview with the Dakota Scout in Sioux Falls, Johnson said he would vote for either incumbent governor Larry Rhoden or Aberdeen Businessman Toby Doeden over Democrat Dan Ahlers. Johnson, who largely came in as the assumed favorite to win the nomination, finished in third place out of four with 23 percent of the vote or 136,000 of the votes cast. The GOP runoff election is for registered Republicans only and will take place Tuesday July 28th. Early voting is already underway.
