Rep. Johnson introduces legislation to ban trans female athletes from competing in women’s sports at our nation’s military academies

South Dakota congressman Dusty Johnson has introduced legislation which would ban trans female athletes from competing on athletic teams at our nation’s military academies. Johnson is carrying this legislation with the backing of Riley Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer, female sport advocate and an activist seeking to keep trans women out of female sports. In a statement about the legislation, Johnson points out the physiological differences between men and women and that this legislation if made law would ensure military service academy promote a fair playing field.
