Republican Secretary of State candidate Heather Baxter has responded to outgoing Republican Secretary of State Monae Johnson crossing party lines to endorse Democrat Terrence Davis. In a post at her website Baxter pointed out Republican delegates to the state convention chose her over Johnson who sought re-election 59 percent to 41 percent. She also went on to say Republicans must keep the office to quote keep the office accountable. She went on to claim putting a Democrat in the office would lead it accountable to the national party syndicate she accused of loosening rules of citizenship, weakening voter ID protections and destroy God’s design for the nuclear family. The election will be held Tuesday November 2nd with early voting already underway.
