Sanford Pentagon to host South Dakota’s first ever WNBA game

The Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls has announced it will host a WNBA game in April. The Phoenix Mercury will face the Chicago Sky in a pre-season game at the Pentagon on April 25th. Phoenix is coached by Sioux Falls native Nate Tibbetts, who played for the University of South Dakota and coach the University of Sioux Falls and the NBA G League’s Sioux Falls SkyForce. This will be the first ever WNBA game in the state of South Dakota.
