South Dakota State Athletics has announced the untimely passing of running back Nate White. He was 20 years old. White had spent two seasons at the University of Wisconsin before transferring to SDSU in January. The Brookings Police Department has confirmed it is investigating White’s death. According to police a roommate called 911 at approximately 6:44 a.m. Wednesday on reports White was not breathing and unresponsive in his bed. The cause of death is not known at this time.
