A Sioux Falls man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, three years suspended in connection to the death of an infant in Brown County in 2023. According to the the Aberdeen Insider 30-year-old Jaylen T. Rencountre pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter on May 20th. Court documents say Rencountre was giving the infant a bath on February 1st while he was seriously ill, highly medicated and experiencing fatigue.
