Newly elected Sioux Falls mayor Christine Erickson has announced her endorsement of incumbent Governor Larry Rhoden for the GOP nomination for governor in the GOP gubernatorial runoff election. Erickson made the announcement Thursday at a campaign event at the Rhoden for Governor Sioux Falls office.
“Governor Rhoden understands that strong communities are built on safe neighborhoods, responsible government, and creating opportunities for families to succeed. There is no better partner to make Sioux Falls safer and more affordable,” said Erickson.
Rhoden received the endorsement of outgoing Sioux Falls mayor Paul TenHaken before he left office in July also. Rhoden is seeking the GOP nomination against Aberdeen businessman Toby Doeden. The runoff election will be this coming Tuesday July 28th with early voting already being underway.
