(Kelo.com – Sioux Falls, SD) South Dakota appears to be inching closer to playing a major role as host to social media giant Tik Tok. Governor Larry Rhoden is touring the state with Wyoming billionaire businessman Reid Rasner. Rasner’s 47-billion dollar bid is the highest offered for the Chinese owned platform. If his bid is successful, Rasner says South Dakota would host a large part of the Tik Tok structure.
Rasner’s bid is 20-billion dollars higher than the next highest bid. The Governor says the state is well-prepared to accommodate Rasner’s needs if he lands the deal.
Rasner has the high bid, as Chinese-owned Byte-dance has a June 19th deadline to sell the platform due to security concerns.
