The name has been released in a Brookings county fatal accident

One person died and another was seriously injured in a head-on crash one mile north of Bushnell, SD Monday afternoon.

Preliminary crash information indicates Taylor Neil Johnson, the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, was traveling southbound on 478^th Avenue in the northbound lane, when it collided with an oncoming northbound 1985 Freightliner driven by Randall Dean Willmott.

Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Willmott sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
