Timberwolves sign point guard Mike Connelly after the team traded him and he was cut

The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed veteran free agent point guard Mike Conley. Conley returns to Minnesota after the Wolves traded him to Chicago at the trade deadline. Chicago then moved him to Charlotte who cut the 38-year-old guard. Conley is allowed to return to Minnesota per NBA rules after being traded a second time and being cut by the team trading for him.
