The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Tuesday the team has acquired cash consideration as part of a multi-team deal with the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons. The Wolves traded veteran guard Mike Conley to the Bulls and a future protected first round pick swap to the Detroit Pistons in the deal. The deal saves the Wolves approximately $20 million dollars, putting the team under the first apron of the NBA’s salary cap, meaning making other trades before tomorrow’s deadline would be easier.
