Vikings CB Isaiah Rodgers has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the NFL announced today.
In the Vikings’ Week 2 victory against the Chicago Bears, Rodgers blocked K Cairo Santos’ potential game-tying 23-yard field goal with just over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. It marked the third blocked kick of Rodgers’ career (two field goals, one extra-point attempt), and his second as a Viking, and it was the first blocked kick by a DB this season. He is the only player in the NFL to block at least one kick in each of the past three seasons (2024-26).
