Vikings sign linebacker Eric Wilson

The Minnesota Vikings have announced the signing of linebacker Eric Wilson

Wilson, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the start of the 2026 League Year, has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Vikings. Wilson originally signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati and spent his first four seasons with the team. In between stints in Minnesota, Wilson spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles (2021), Houston Texans (2021) and Green Bay Packers (2022-24). Rejoining the Vikings in 2025, Wilson appeared in 17 games, including 16 starts, and recorded career highs in tackles for loss (17), sacks (6.5), QB hits (10) and forced fumbles (four). His 108 defensive tackles were his most in a season since he had 121 during the 2020 season in Minnesota. On special teams, he contributed seven tackles and one forced fumble. With his performance in 2025, Wilson became the fourth player since 1999, and first since Lavonte David in 2013, to post at least 115 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks in a season.
