A Wagner juvenile has been sentenced to prison on first-degree manslaughter charges. According to the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office, 16-year-old Gabe Montgomery was sentenced Friday to 50 years in prison with 30 years suspended after pleading guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death of a 16-year-old male victim in 2023. Montgmery was tried as an adult in this case. The incident occurred during a fight between the suspect and victim in April of 2023. Montgomery will be placed in a juvenile placement center until he turns 18 when he will be transferred to an adult prison.
