Wings sign two tenders for 2025-26 season

The Aberdeen Wings have signed two tenders for the 2025-26 season. First the Wings have signed defenseman Brooks Skogland. Skogland is a Omaha Nebraska native who stands 6’1 187lbs and is a left shot defenseman. He currently plays for the Omaha Mastery U18 team. In 10 games season season he has scored four assists for four total points.

Assistant Coach for the Aberdeen Wings, Eric Hirschhaut, explains “We are very excited to announce the tender signing of defenseman Brooks Skogland from the Omaha Mastery U18 Team for next season. Brooks is a smooth-skating defenseman that plays with a lot of physicality and has a very good skillset which helps him contribute offensively. Brooks caught my eye at the NAPHL Showcase in September during our Blaine Showcase, and again this past week in Blaine. We are excited to watch him and current teammate and recent tender Jayton Frederick the rest of this season with the Mastery. We are happy to welcome Brooks and his family to our Aberdeen Wings family.”

Next the Wings signed Mankato Minnesota native Jayton Frederick. Frederick is a 5’8 170lbs left shot forward who also plays for the Omaha Mastery U18 team. So far in 12 games this season he has five goals and two assists for seven total points.

Assistant Coach Eric Hirschhaut explains “Very excited to announce the tender signing of Jayton Frederick from the Omaha Mastery U18 Team for next season. Jayton is a 200 foot player that plays with a ton of sand paper and grit with an offensive touch which caught my eye at the NAPHL Showcase in September, and again this past week in Blaine. Jayton is a tremendous young man, and plays to our identity. We are excited to watch him the rest of this season with the Mastery. Happy to welcome Jayton and his family to our Wings Family.”
