101st session of the legislature to convene Tuesday in Pierre

The South Dakota State Legislature will open session Tuesday in Pierre beginning at noon. This will serve as the 101^st session of the South Dakota Legislature. The session will begin with South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden giving his annual State of the State Address to a joint session of the legislature. That is scheduled to take place at 1:00 p.m. With South Dakota Public Broadcasting will carry the speech live. According to Governor Rhoden, his speech will focus on celebrating this that make South Dakota special, and ways to make it even stronger.
