A bill which would cover school lunches for families on the reduced lunch meal program passed out fo the House Appropriations Committee Monday. HB1082 is estimated to cost the state $630,000 a year and will debated on the house floor in the coming days. The bill would use general fund dollars to pay for students on reduced meal plan, which is 30 cents for breakfast and 40 cents for lunch.
