The Aberdeen American News newspaper is under new ownership. According to a press release between Lee Enterprises and USA TODAY Inc., the two companies have agreed on a deal that includes the American News and Farm Forum, the Watertown Public Opinion and Sioux Falls Argus Leader. As part of the deal Lee Enterprises will give up operating the newsroom production and related technology operations of the Arizona Star to USA TODAY. Lee Enterprises has properties in 114 markets across 25 states including the Rapid City Journal.
