Woman suffers injuries after being run over by trailer wheel at Gypsy Day Parade

A woman suffered injuries Saturday after she was run over by the tire of a trailer during the annual Gypsy Day Parade. According to the Aberdeen Police4 Department, the incident occurred around 10:45 a.m., about two thirds of the way through the parade. The incident occurred at the intersection of fifth avenue northeast and North Main Street after the victim tripped and her leg was run over. She was taken to the emergency room at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries according to police. The incident led to a longer than normal delay before the parade was able to resume.
