Aberdeen Police Department makes arrest Monday night following traffic stop

The Aberdeen Police Department reports a traffic stop led to an arrest Monday night. According to police, officers initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 10 block of 10^th avenue SE at approximately 11:00 p.m. for what police describe as a traffic violation. Police say the vehicle fled from officers and collided with another vehicle in the 1000 block of South Lincoln Street. Police say the suspect refused to comply with their orders and used non lethal projectiles to help with compliance. The suspect has been identified as 53-year-old Michael Thomas White of Aberdeen and he has been charged with DUI 3^rd office, parole violation, obstruction and eluding law enforcement.
