The Aberdeen Public School Board has approved its preliminary budget for the 2025-26 school year. The vote to approve was 6-0 at the board’s regular meeting Monday July 28th.
The budget break down includes $35.27 million in the general fund, $13.98 million in special education, $9.34 Capital Outlay, $2.89 million in food services and $58,000 in other funds. School board member Brad Olson expressed concerns about the federal government eliminating the Department of Education.
