The Aberdeen Wings held the first overall pick in last weeks NAHL entry draft. With that first selection the Wings picked Jonathan Doucette, a forward who last season played for the Olds Grizzlies in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. This was the first time in Wings franchise history the team held the first overall pick, acquired from the Minnesota Mallards last season in the Grant Kohnen trade. Doucette scored 12 goals and added 28 assists for 40 points in 54 games with the Grizzlies last season. The Wings made six selections in the 2025 NAHL entry draft. Other selections include first round 22nd overall Price Grimes, a right shot defenseman, second round 57th overall Taven James a left shot forward, third round 81st overall Isaac Nelson, a right shot defenseman, fourth round 107th overall Viktor Eriksson a left shot forward, and fifth round 157th overall Zach Longnecker a Center.
