Missing Fort Pierre team found safe

Update: The mother of a 15 year old girl from Fort Pierre missing since Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 7, 2025) says her daughter has been found.

A social media post from Timber Hanson’s mother says the teenager is safe.

(DRG News – Pierre, SD) Law enforcement, family and friends are looking for a 15 year old girl from Fort Pierre believed to be heading for Wyoming or Montana.

Information on the South Dakota Missing Persons website says Timber Hanson is believed to be traveling in a gold colored 2001 FORD F-250 club-cab pickup with South Dakota license plate 58L-632. The pickup has a black grill guard and black box on the back

A social media post from Timber Hanson’s mother says the teenager was last seen about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 7, 2025) at the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop at the Vivian Exit along Interstate 90, south of Pierre. She’s described as being 5’5”, 105 pounds, with blue eyes and pierced ears. Her hair is currently colored black and she may be wearing glasses.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call the Stanley County Sheriff’s Office at 605-223-7792.
