(connmedia.com) A Brookings man is indicted on 50 felony counts of distribution of child pornography.
The state attorney general’s office says 24-year old Mohammad Ghosheh (GO-shin) was indicted Monday (Sept. 29) by a Brookings County Grand Jury for alleged incidents in Brookings County taking place from October 2024 through February of this year. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
The attorney general’s office says Ghosheh had earlier been charged with one count of solicitation of a minor as well.
The investigation was carried out by the state Division of Criminal Investigation with assistance from the South Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, U.S. Homeland Security and the Brookings Police Department. The state attorney general’s office will be prosecuting the case.
As of this morning (Oct. 2), Ghosheh was listed as an inmate at the Brookings County Detention Center.
