The South Dakota Lottery has announced the state took in less money from gaming this past year. According to numbers released Thursday for fiscal year 2025, lottery generated $177.92 million to the state general fund and $2.26 million to the state capital construction fund. That’s down from $179.72 million and $3.76 million respectively last year. Lottery officials say these are unaudited numbers, but that they do not anticipate the numbers to change drastically.
