Cara Perrion named next director of the K.O. Lee Public Library in Aberdeen

Cara Perrion has been named the new director of the K.O. Lee Public Library. Perrion has worked in the public library system in Aberdeen since 1996. She has been serving as assistant director since 2009. She has been serving as library director on an interim basis for a few months now and will officially take over her new position February 22nd.

“We are excited to welcome Cara Perrion as our new library director,” City Manager Dave McNeil said in a news release. “Her experience, leadership and passion for public service make her a strong fit for both our library team and the Aberdeen community. The library plays an important role in connecting people, supporting lifelong learning and creating welcoming spaces for everyone and we’re confident Cara will continue to build on that foundation while helping the library grow into the future.”

She was one of three candidates interviewed for the job and will replace Anna Moser who resigned as director at the end of October.
