Chip sealing in zone 3 to begin Wednesday

Beginning Wednesday, July 22, 2026, ZONE 3 will be affected by the chip sealing of city streets.  This process is expected to take approximately 4 weeks to finish with weather permitting.  ‘No Parking’ signs will be placed on city streets one day before the crew begins work in this area.  City street sweeping equipment will be used in this process which will affect the street sweeping schedule.  Motorists are advised to take alternate routes on these days.  A map of the seal coating areas can be found on the City of Aberdeen website, www.aberdeen.sd.us, under Public Works and then Street Maintenance.
