Aberdeen assistant Public Works Director Jeromy Thorstenson has been promoted to Public Works Director. Thorstenson has 32 years of experience working in the public works department, nine of which have been as assistant public works director.

Thorstenson will replace the retiring Stu Nelson, who served as both public works director and city engineer. That role will now be split and the city plans on hiring a new engineer.
