The City of Aberdeen is reminding residents as we get closer to the fourth of July, city ordinances prohibit the use of fireworks within city limits with the exception of sparklers, snakes and other fireworks that do not have an audible report, projectile or launching component. Aberdeen Fire and Rescue also reminds residents never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks, use only fireworks from a license vendor, read and follow all warning and instructions, make sure people are out of range before lighting fireworks, never relight fireworks that have not fully functioned and extinguish fireworks by soaking them in water before disposing of them.
