DCI investigating death of a suspect in custody of the Rapid City Police Department

The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the death of a man who died while in custody of the Rapid City Police Department.  According to Rapid City Police, the suspect was in custody after being tased and placed in a WRAP safety restraint.  The incident occurred Tuesday night and according to police the man was “acting erratically.”  Police say after the man was tased a medical evaluation determind his vitals were in good shape.
