Delta and SkyWest have now added a third temporary commercial flight to the Aberdeen Regional Airport. The third flight will begin Monday October 6th and continue for seven weeks to help meet transportation needs during the pheasant hunting season. The flight is scheduled to run Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday arriving from Minneapolis at approximately 10:15 a.m. And departing back to the Twin Cities around 10:50 a.m. The additional flight will be four days a week. The traditional pheasant hunting season begins Saturday October 18th. Experts believe northeast South Dakota is in for a banner year when it comes to pheasant numbers.
