South Dakota Game Fish and Parks has confirmed it has found zebra muscles on equipment being used on Mina Lake. The invasive species was found as Park staff was winterizing equipment and removing buoys and docks, meaning Mina Lake is now considered positive for zebra muscles. Game Fish and Parks encourages all boaters to clean drain and dry their boats after being in the water to help prevent the spread of the species. Once zebra muscles get into a lake they are almost impossible to get out and effect the natural ecosystem of the lake.
