South Dakota Democrat gubernatorial candidate Dan Ahlers has announced his lieutenatn governor candidate. Ahlers confirmed to Dakota News Now Tuesday he has selected former district 1 state lawmaker Steven McCleerey to run with him on the ticket. Ahlers had to officially file paperwork regarding his lieutenant governor pick by yesterday at 5:00 p.m. Per state law. The two will square off against incumbent Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Rhoden this November.
