Former South Dakota Governor and current Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has announced the cancelation of a FEMA grant which would have benefited South Dakota. The grant was for nearly $10 million and part of a program called Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communites or BRIC. However, Noem ended the program last month calling it wasteful and ineffective in a release about the decision.
