National Weather Service in Aberdeen to shut off weather radio transmitter for updates Thursday

The National Weather Service’s Aberdeen Office will have its weather radio transmitter off air today until approximately 4:00 p.m. That is due to an update the office needs to perform to it’s Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System, according to a press release about the situation. Despite the need to go offline, no core services will be affected, but there was no 6:00 p.m. Test Wednesday May 7^th.
