DOC announces Joseph Roemmich as next Warden of the state penitentiary

The South Dakota Department of Corrections has announced the hiring of Joseph Roemmich as the next warden of the South Dakota State Penitentiary. Roemmich will oversee the state prison facility in Sioux Falls. He is set to begin his duties June 24th. DOC director of prison operations Amber Pirraglia has been serving as Warden of the Penitentiary on an interim basis up until this point.
