The North Dakota Public Health Association announced Thursday, North Dakota has the highest rate of measles in the country. According to a post on the Association’s Facebook page, the state has 34 confirmed cases across four different counties. That makes North Dakota’s measles cases 4.3 cases per 100,000 residents, the worst in t he nation. The next worst is New Mexico at 3.7 cases per 100,000 residents. Two people with the measles in North Dakota have had to be hospitalized, none of the people infected were previously vaccinated against the disease.
