The South Dakota Department of Social Services has announced those who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance or SNAP should receive at least some of their monthly allotment sometime this week. The program’s status has been up in limbo due to the federal government shutdown which came to an end this week. DSS Secretary Matt Althoff says depending on congressional action November SNAP benefits will either be partially or fully funded later this week.
