Harrisburg man killed in Codington county motorcycle accident

A Harrisburg man died Friday, Nov. 7 from a Thursday evening motorcycle crash two miles south of Watertown, SD.

The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.

Preliminary information indicates the driver of a 2012 Harley Davidson was traveling northbound on 29^th Street SE. As the driver approached the intersection of Meadow Lake Road, he lost control and was separated from the motorcycle.

The driver was taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
