Fall free residential cleanup to run August 29th through September 13th

The Brown County Landfill has announced the fall free residential cleanup will run August 29^th through Saturday September 13^th. During this time residents can get rid of select unwanted items free of charges. Those items include paint, trees, shingles, rubble, furniture, waste oil, electronics, appliance, scrap metal, propane tanks, grass and leaves and other miscellaneous waste. There will also be a limit of four car or pickup tires per person. Fees will still be applied on large demolition projects. There will be no additional drop sites like in the spring cleanup. Loads must be covered and vehicles should use only asphalt roads.
