A former South Dakota Department of Revenue employee has been sentenced on misdemeanor Misprison of a Felony charges. 52-year-old Danielle Degenstein of Pierre pleaded guilty this past Tuesday and received a suspended imposition of a sentence. For her crimes she received one year in prison suspended, one year unsupervised probation, a $500 fine and she must pay court costs. Degenstein was charged with Misprison of a felony after she failed to report another DOR employee forged a power of attorney document for personal gain.
