A Plankinton man has been sentenced on first-degree rape involving a minor charges. According to the South Dakota Attorney General’s office 24-year-old Kody Konechne was sentenced to 55-years in prison Wednesday. He pleaded guilty to one count first degree rape. He is also serving five years in federal prison for pleading guilty to one count attempted enticement of a minor using the internet. The charges stem from an incident out of Aurora County in 2020.
