South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden has announced the appointment of Britton, SD resident Nick Fosness to serve in the South Dakota State House of Representatives representing District 1. Fosness has served as CEO of Marshall County Healthcare for more than 13 years. He previously served on the Britton/Hecla school board for nine years including seven as president. Fosness will replace Chris Reder of Warner who resigned his seat after serving gone year in the legislature. He resigned after concerned about his residency surfaced. District one includes mostly rural brown county, all of Day Marshall and parts of Roberts county as well.
