South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden is enjoying a high approval rating among voters who took part in a recent poll produced by South Dakota News Watch and the Chiesman Center for Democracy at the University of South Dakota. According to the poll, which spoke with over 500 registered voters, Governor Rhoden’s approval rating is at 58 percent. His predecessor Kristi Noem had a 51 percent approval rating in her new role as Secretary of State. Rhoden has yet to announce whether or not he will seek a full second term as Governor after replacing Noem as governor at the beginning of this past legislative session.
