Ground water sump pumps or standing water not allowed to be discharged into city sanitary sewer system

The City of Aberdeen Public Works Department is reminding business and homeowners that as of April 16, 2025, ground water from sump pumps or any standing water is not allowed to be discharged into the city sanitary sewer system.  It is recommended that discharges be to the curb and gutter outside your home or business in a manner that will not impact your neighbors.  If you have questions regarding sump pumps, please call the Public Works Office at 605-626-7010.  Thank you for your cooperation.
