The South Dakota Department of Corrections has announced a state prison inmate has passed away. According to the Department of Corrections, Hayden France died Tuesday while serving time in the Mike Durfee State Prison. He was recently transferred to a Sioux Falls Hospital where the DOC says he died from a brief illness. He was 46 years old serving a sentence of out Minnehaha and Lincoln county for possession o a controlled substance.
