A judge in the case regarding a Clark man accused of murdering and beheading his mother, can be evaluated by a a doctor regarding a plea of guilty but mentally ill or not guilty by reason of insanity. 36-year-old Bowen Fladland is accused of first-degree murder in the death of his 70-year-old mother Marlene Fladland on July 5th 2025. Her body was found in the front yard of her Clark residence at the time of the crime. Fladland has pleaded not guilty regarding this case.
