South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden introduced his pick to serve as his Lieutenant Governor Wednesday at a press conference at the Capital in Pierre.
Tony Venhuizen will has accepted the role. He is a long time establishment government figure in South Dakota. Venhuizen is the grandson of long time state lawmaker Henry Poppen and son-in-law of former Governor Dennis Daugaard. He has also served as the chief-of-staff for former Governor Kristi Noem administration.
