Northern State women’s basketball player Michaela Jewett has been named the WBCA/D2CIDA National Player of the Week. She earned the honor for her performance against Minnesota State and Winona State this past weekend. The Wolves won both of those games and during that stretch Jewett averaged 26.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. She scored a season high 28 points against Minnesota State and scored 25 against Winona State. Jewett shot 59% from the field and 43% from three-point range, hitting all seven of her free throw attempts and adding 4.5 assists per game. Jewett is currently second in the NSIC in rebounding and ninth in field goal percentage.
